Faculties of Sinnar City Campus
Most faculties of Sinnar University are located in Sinnar State, approximately 300 km southeast of Sudan’s capital, Khartoum. Notably, Sinnar State stands out for its significant agricultural, economic, social, and cultural importance, making it a key area of attraction for both local and foreign investment. Furthermore, the state is well-connected to all other Sudanese states through a network of national roads. To the west, it borders the White Nile State, while Gedaref State lies to the east. Additionally, it is bounded by the Blue Nile State to the south and Gezira State to the north. Moreover, the Blue Nile River flows through the state from south to north, enhancing its strategic significance.
Faculties of Sinja City Campus
The Sinja City Campus is situated in the capital of Sinnar State and hosts some of the most populated faculties of Sinnar University, such as the Faculty of Education. The campus also features essential facilities, including restrooms, housing for male and female students, and a health unit.
The Faculty of Education at Sinnar University plays a vital role in training competent educators and professionals across various teaching disciplines. Faculties of Abuna’ama City Campus
Abuna’ama, located in the southern part of Sinnar State, is approximately 500 km from Khartoum. The area is characterized by a rich savannah climate and boasts significant livestock resources, including Kinana cows and Alutish sheep, as well as camels raised by some of the local tribes inhabiting the region.
Within this vibrant agricultural setting, the Faculty of Agriculture at Sinnar University plays a crucial role in advancing education, research, and innovation in agriculture. The faculty is dedicated to equipping students with practical skills and scientific knowledge across various agricultural fields, aiming to contribute to sustainable development and ensure food security.
Faculties of Wad Hashim Campus
Wad Hashim village is one of the oldest villages in the Khashm al-Bahr region, originally established during the time of the Zarqa Sultanate. Initially known as al-Fateh, it is located about 12 kilometers from the city of Sinnar. In 1900, Sheikh al-Arif Billah Muhammad Wad Hashim, a follower of Sufi orders, established the current village. Wad Hashim is distinguished by its rich tribal and ethnic diversity, with over 40 tribes living in harmony, coexisting and intermarrying in peace and security. Furthermore, the village has a significant cultural and social influence on the surrounding areas. In terms of educational institutions, Wad Hashim boasts a variety of facilities, including primary schools, high secondary schools, kindergartens, a rural hospital, a university college, Quranic recitation cells, and an Islamic complex. Economically, the village is home to the Wad Hashim agricultural project, which spans both the northern and southern areas. Additionally, it has a thriving community of merchants and craftsmen, further contributing to its local economy.
Faculties of Mayurnu Campus
The city of Mayrnu is located on the western bank of the Blue Nile, along the Sinnar-Damazin highway, approximately 15 kilometers south of both Sinnar and Sinja, positioning it between these two prominent cities in Sinnar State. Mayrnu was founded in 1906, following a significant historical migration that led Sultan Muhammad Blue Mayrnu to the area in 1903, after the fall of the Suktu Islamic Caliphate. This caliphate had been established by the esteemed mujahid and great reformer, Sheikh Othman bin Foudi.

Faculties of Al Suki City Campus
The city of Suki, located in Sinnar State, is situated 339 km from Khartoum on the eastern bank of the Blue Nile, approximately 43 km from the Sinnar Reservoir. It lies between longitudes 33-34 east and latitudes 12-13.5 north. To the south, it borders Omdurman Al-Falata and the Blue Nile state, while to the north, it extends to the village of Awad Al-Sayed at the boundaries of Sinnar locality. To the east, it reaches Hillat Abd Al-Karim, which forms the administrative border with Al-Dinder, and to the west, it is bordered by the Blue Nile and the village of Awlad Hamed. Suki locality is renowned for its fertile lands, which are ideal for agricultural cultivation, with 90% of the land being utilized for this purpose. The population density in the area is 7,120 people, most of whom are engaged in agriculture, sedentary farming, and semi-nomadic grazing. The total area of the locality spans 900 km², and it is also distinguished by vast areas of governmental reserved forests, as well as private and popular forests.
Faculties of Abu Hujjar City Campus
The city of Abo Hujjar, which is one of the localities of the state of Sinnar, is located in the southeast of the state on the western bank of the Blue Nile. It covers an area of 3575 square kilometers and extends between longitudes (3345-3410)º and latitudes (10-12)º and (13-13)º. A strategy with many resources such as grazing, animal husbandry, livestock of all kinds, forest fish, in addition to traditional and mechanized rain-fed agriculture through pump irrigation, artificial irrigation, and gardening.
