As part of its ongoing efforts to promote scientific research and develop specialized medical competencies, the Faculty of Medicine at Sinnar University continued hosting a committee from the Sudan Medical Specialization Board (S.M.S.B) to discuss the doctoral dissertation in internal medicine submitted by student Sanaa Al-Siddiq Musa Suleiman.
This discussion represents another milestone in a series of academic events hosted by the faculty, reaffirming the university’s commitment to quality and high standards in postgraduate studies.
The dissertation, supervised by Professor Salah Mohamed Ibrahim Mohamed, a consultant in cardiology and internal medicine, tackled an important topic related to heart health. It studied “The most commonly affected coronary arteries in heart patients who underwent coronary angiography by catheterization in Al-Shaab, Ahmed Gasim, and Al-Mak Nimir hospitals from 2019 to 2021.”
The discussion committee included a distinguished group of academics and consultants, namely Dr. Abdelrahman Abdullah Ishaq, a consultant in internal medicine and nephrology, professor at the Faculty of Medicine, and former Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Sinnar University; and Dr. Ma’ruf Al-Sheikh Al-Sadiq, professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Sinnar University, and a consultant in internal medicine.
During the discussion, the research was thoroughly evaluated in terms of its scientific and practical significance, and its contribution to understanding heart diseases in the Sudanese context. These academic activities highlight the pivotal role that Sinnar University plays in graduating qualified medical professionals capable of meeting health challenges and providing the best services to the community.
