The Postgraduate Studies Council Holds its First Regular Meeting for 2025 and Approves a Number of New Programs
The Postgraduate Studies Council held its first regular meeting for the year 2025 today at the Office of the University President in Sinnar, chaired by the Dean of the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies, Dr. Mohamed Idris Mirghani, and attended by the University President, Professor Abdelrahman Ahmed Mohamed Ismail, along with deans of faculties and postgraduate program coordinators from various faculties of the university.
During the meeting, the council approved the minutes of the previous session, emphasizing the importance of following up on decisions and issued recommendations.
The council also approved the curricula for three master’s programs at the Faculty of Medicine, which include: Master of Medical Education, Master of Public Health, and Master of Diagnostic Ultrasound.
Additionally, the council approved a number of master’s and doctoral theses submitted by postgraduate students from the Faculties of Engineering, Arts, Economics and Administrative Sciences, and the Faculty of Sharia and Law.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Mohamed Idris Mirghani praised the efforts made by the faculties and researchers, affirming the pivotal role of the Postgraduate Studies Council in supporting scientific research and enhancing the quality of postgraduate outcomes at the university. Professor Abdelrahman Ahmed Mohamed Ismail also reaffirmed the university administration’s commitment to providing all necessary resources to develop postgraduate studies and empower researchers to achieve their academic goals.
