About Faculty of Medical Laboratory
The Faculty of Medical Laboratory Sciences at Sinnar University was established in 2017 to complement the medical cycle of the university alongside the Faculties of Medicine, Pharmacy, and Nursing. Its establishment came in response to the community’s need for advanced diagnostic and scientific services, particularly in light of the prevalence of endemic diseases such as malaria, giardiasis, and schistosomiasis in Sinnar State.
The Faculty awards an Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences with specializations in Microbiology, Hematology, Histology and Cytology, Medical Parasitology, and Clinical Chemistry. Since its inception, it has been committed to preparing competent and distinguished professionals who contribute to healthcare services and scientific research.
The Faculty also seeks to promote postgraduate studies and continuous research to further develop the diagnostic and academic fields locally and nationally.
